Parish & Ward Church of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate

Ian Adams RIP

We are sorry to announce that St Botolph's senior member, Ian Day Adams MBE, died last weekend following a recent stroke. He was 94.
Although Ian had not been able to come to church recently he had remained an active and vocal member of the Church Council, on which he had given wise counsel for many years. He also, until relatively recently, represented St Botolph's on the City Deanery Synod, and served on its Standing Committee for several terms. Details of Ian's funeral and memorial services will be posted shortly.
The photo shows Ian delivering Rupert Brooke's War Sonnet 'Blow, bugles, blow' (which typically he had learned by heart at short notice) at our commemoration last August of the centenary of our WW1 memorial Cross.
