Leathersellers' Election Day at St Botolph's

St Botolph's welcomed the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers for its Election Day Service on Wednesday 13 June. The sun shone as the Master, Wardens, Court and Clerk processed across Bishopsgate from Leathersellers' Hall to the church. The service was taken by the Company's Chaplain, The Revd Christopher Strong, with our former Rector, The Revd Dr Alan McCormack, himself an honorary Freeman of the Company, welcoming the congregation. The select preacher was no stranger to St Botolph's either - The Revd Canon David Reindorp TD DL, the Vicar of Chelsea Old Church and an old friend of the Company's Master, is the former Padre of the Honourable Artillery Company. Uplifting music was provided by choirs from Colfe's School and the Leathersellers' Federation of Schools, accompanied by Iestyn Evans.

The photographs below, showing the opening procession and Canon Reindorp preaching, were taken by Geoff Russell-Jones, Head of Philanthropy at the Leathersellers' Company, and are used with permission.
