St Botolph’s Day Celebrations – all welcome

St Botolph’s Day Celebrations – all welcome
We will be celebrating St Botolph’s day on Wednesday, 19 June with a Choral Patronal Festival Service at 1.10pm, and all are most welcome to join us.
St Botolph was the patron saint of wayfarers, and implicit in looking after those away from home is the act of hospitality. For centuries, St Botolph’s church in Bishopsgate has been offering hospitality and a place of sanctuary and peace in the City to all in any kind of need, or those who want to find a quiet place to be with God, or those who simply want to be by themselves.
I would like to continue in that theme of hospitality by inviting everyone to our celebration on 19 June, and to stay afterwards for drinks and nibbles, including our special St Botolph’s cake.
During the service you will be in for a musical treat, with Victoria’s sumptuous double-choir Missa ‘Alma redemptoris Mater’ and music by Bruckner and Mendelssohn. I look forward to welcoming you,

Fr David
