Parish & Ward Church of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate

St Botolph's Day Celebration

Our Patron St Botolph was celebrated in style as usual on Wednesday 19 June with a wonderful Choral Festival Eucharist. Fr David led the service, assisted by Fr Andrew Williams, our Priest Missioner, and we were delighted to welcome The Very Revd Nicholas Papadopulos, Dean of Salisbury, as the guest preacher. The service was attended by an encouragingly large number of the St Botolph's 'family' including representatives of Bishopsgate Ward, our associated Livery Companies, the Bishopsgate Ward Club, and the local business community. Iestyn Evans directed sumptuous music by Victoria, Bruckner and Mendelssohn, and the serving team was enhanced by visiting servers from other churches. After the service all enjoyed sparkling refreshments and a very special cake made for the occasion by congregation member John Marshall.
Below are some photographs of the celebrations, and a copy of the Dean's sermon is attached.
