St Georges Day 2009

On Thursday 23rd April 2009 We celebrated the Feast of St George, Martyr and Patron of England

Wonderfull weather made for a very colourfull and enjoyable day.

12.30pm Morris Dancing in the Churchyard

1.10pm An Order of Thanksgiving on St George's Day with Select Preacher- The Revd Canon Victor G Stacey, Prebendary of Maynooth, St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin
The Choir of St Botolph's sang music by Stanford and Handel

3.00pm Churchyard events started including african drumming by the kids of St Matthias School Bethnal Green, and the Jazz band from Coppers company and Coburn School.

7.00pm Hog Roast, Band and Charity Raffle in the Churchyard (The Piazza of the Kings Arms)
