New Partnership announcement!
The Good Coffee Kiosk will be reopening soon with new products, new look, new staff but still “Good Coffee” with all profits going to “Good causes”.
We have asked ECV Solutions Ltd to help us with a rebranding task and Melina has come up with some great ideas and has “big Plans” for the future. We are delighted to be working with such a lively enthusiastic and knowledgeable person and we are excited to see the results this partnership will produce.
We hope to have an exact date for the grand reopening soon along with more information on the changes to what we will be providing the “Good” people of Bishopsgate.
Melina Herrmann was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil in
1982 and has lived in London since 2005. Being close to
her family and with her father owning a wholesale
hardware store and her mother being a Head Teacher
of a local public school, Melina fostered at an early age
a strong connection to people & a passion for business.
Melina’s family history in the coffee industry traces
itself back to the early 1930’s, as her grandfather had
founded a local coffee roastery with both her father
and uncle heavily involved in the selection process of
which coffee beans could be sold to market. Upon
learning of her rich family history, it was clear that
coffee was the bridge between her past and future.
Having moved to London as a student and working at
numerous high street coffee chains, Melina gained
invaluable knowledge and extensive understanding of
customer service & loyalty, whilst also developing team
leadership skills. This was the first step in the journey to
running her own business.
In 2008, a unique opportunity presented itself with the establishment of a coffee enterprise at
the historic site of St Mary Woolnoth Church, in the City of London. Over this time, Melina’s main
goal was building a strong and loyal consumer base, focusing exclusively on the customer
experience’.
Founding her own coffee shop “The Cosy Coffee Corner” in 2014, Melina ensured the brand was
environmentally friendly, committed to hiring only the most exceptional and skilled personnel
while continuously refining operations for excellence, and sourcing from ethical coffee roasters.
The principle aim of the business was to provide a strong link to the community through the
Church.
In 2024, the focus is to re-create this magical journey by bringing other people on board, helping
other individuals to have the opportunity to run their own business as well as supporting Churches
and other public spaces on staying open and accessible to their community through commercial
and social activities.
