The few growls of uncertainty were way outnumbered by tail-wags and happy pets and carers at the successful St Botolph’s first Choral Animal Blessing Service on the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi (4 October). Cats, pet and therapy dogs alike filled the pews and came forward with their owners to be blessed by Fr David in a service featuring beautiful music devised by Iestyn, our Director of Music, and our magnificent St Botolph’s choir. If you didn’t manage to get there this year, make a date for next year, Fr David and Freddie the church dog look forward to welcoming you then on Friday 2 October 2020 at 1.10pm.
