Dear Friend of St Botolph’s

I hope you have managed to find some refreshing and restful time during the summer. Despite being the start of September, it is still remarkably quiet in the City and we do not expect a significant number of people to return to their offices during the next few months.

Here at St Botolph’s we are all well. The church continues to open to the public for private prayer from 12 noon to 3pm each workday. In addition, we hold lunchtime masses at 1.10pm each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The great news is that as from next Wednesday, 9 September, we will have organ music and the choir back for our weekly Choral Eucharist. Next Wednesday we celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Missa ‘Ave Maria Stella’ Victoria, Ave Maria Handel, Fuga sopra il Magnificat, BWV 733 Bach. If you are in the City or feel the need to indulge yourself is a beautifully sung mass, it would be lovely to see you.

As ever, if there is someone, or a situation you would like me to include in our prayers, please do email or phone me to let me know.

With God’s love and blessing,
Fr David
