Suspension of Church Services

In a statement issued this lunchtime by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, all Church of England churches have been advised to put public worship on hold in the coming months to face the challenge of coronavirus.

We at St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate are following the Archbishops’ instructions and suspending public worship at St Botolph’s for the foreseeable future. We will remain open during our usual opening hours for sanctuary, private prayer and devotion. We will continue to review the situation with reference to Government and Church of England guidelines. In the meantime, we continue to pray in the church for all those affected by the spread of Coronavirus.
As usual, I will be on hand if you would like to see a priest.

With God’s blessing,
Fr David

A Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ,
you taught us to love our neighbour,
and to care for those in need
as if we were caring for you.
In this time of anxiety, give us strength
to comfort the fearful, to tend the sick,
and to assure the isolated
of our love, and your love,
for your name’s sake.
Amen.
