St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate in now officially an Inclusive Church.  Inclusive Church is an organisation founded in 2003 that advocates for the full inclusion of all people regardless of ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, in the Christian churches, including in the threefold order of bishops, priests and deacons.  Churches which are members of Inclusive Church celebrate and affirm every person and do not discriminate in any way.

Fr David Armstrong, our Priest-in-Charge, was licensed by the Bishop of London, the Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally, as Rector of St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate, and was installed by the Archdeacon of London, the Venerable Luke Miller in a service of Evensong in the church at 5.30pm on Thursday 29 April. Dear Friend of St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate, We find ourselves at the start of Passiontide in the run up to Holy Week and Easter.  Last year in Holy Week all our churches were closed due to the pandemic.  For the first time in centuries the Liturgy of Christ’s Passion did not take place in our holy places.  I am pleased to say that this year we are once again open.
