Thursday 2 November - All Souls Service All are warmly invited to attend our annual All Souls Day service on Thursday 2 November at 1.10 pm. All Creatures
At St Botolph’s we will celebrate the bond between humans and animals as we hold our Annual Animal Blessing Service on Friday 6 October at 12.10 pm. We hold this popular service each year on the Friday closest to the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. As ever there will be the opportunity for each animal to receive a personal blessing. The service will feature beautiful music from St Botolph’s choir and refreshments will be served
William Byrd 400th anniversary
Yesterday, 4 July, was the 400th anniversary of the death of William Byrd, one of Britain's - and the Renaissance's - greatest composers. St Botolph's musicians pay tribute to him at today's Choral Mass by singing his Mass for five voices; the organ voluntary is also by Byrd, and the hymns are all by Byrd's contemporary Orlando Gibbons.

New Year Updates
St Botolph's re-opened after the Christmas break yesterday, 3 January. Our first Choral Mass of 2023 will take place today, Wednesday 4 January, at 1.10 pm, and will anticipate the Feast of the Epiphany. Fr David will be away from church for a little while, having sustained an injury to his right foot in December. Unfortunately this has not healed as anticipated, and has required minor surgery at St Thomas's Hospital. He is in good spirits, but is quite immobile and

Choral Requiem 14 September 2022
St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate will hold a Choral Requiem in thanksgiving for the life and service of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022 On Wednesday 14 September 2022 at 1.10 pm This service will be live streamed and also available afterwards on our website On the day of the Late Queen’s funeral, Monday 19 September, the church will be closed all day
Reintroducing our 8.10am Morning Mass
New Service Times Mass on Thursday 1 September will be at 1.10 pm. but as we move further away from the days of Covid restrictions, we are returning to a more usual schedule of Masses at St Botolph’s. From the week of 5 September we are reintroducing our 8.10am Mass in the Lady Chapel. Tuesday and Thursday Masses will revert to 12.10pm, whilst our main Choral Mass on Wednesday will remain at 1.10pm. As always, everyone is welcome. The lunchtime Masses
