In a statement issued this lunchtime by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, all Church of England churches have been advised to put public worship on hold in the coming months to face the challenge of coronavirus. We at St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate are following the Archbishops’ instructions and suspending public worship at St Botolph’s for the foreseeable future. We will remain open during our usual opening hours for sanctuary, private prayer and devotion. We will continue to review the situation with reference

We are pleased to welcome back Lunchbreak Opera for their spring production "A Dinner Engagement" by Lennox Berkeley. There will be daily performances at 1pm and 2 evening performances on Thursday and Friday at 6pm. All in the Hall here at St Botolph's. It is with much sorrow that we announce the death after a short final illness of Fr David Paton, Rector of St Botolph’s from 1997 to 2006. He died on Saturday 14 December, and his funeral will take place near his home in France on Wednesday 18 December. The date and time of a London service to give thanks for his life and his long ministry in East End and City of London churches will be announced in due course. May he rest
